November 3, 2024 - Fly to Cambridge for Breakfast with Gadget

Gadget and I are winging our way across the Chesapeake Bay.  Destination:  Cambridge Airport and the new restaurant.

On the deck at Cambridge.  What a difference an airport restaurant makes.  The Cambridge ramp was always empty for the last year and a half until the new restaurant opened.

Quite a few RVs were on hand.  Unusually, all were nosewheel (except for mine).

Two more RVs.

This Kelly green and silver RV is the only one I've seen before (I think).

This is the third time I've been to Carol's.  I finally took some pictures of the inside.  Notice the bar at right!  Just what a pilot needs.

Gnomes and airplanes.  Good combo.

Nice view of the runway and ramp.

Gadget and I taxi for takeoff.

Airborne and climbing out.

We fly the Choptank River on the way home.

Peak foliage -- what there was of it -- is past but there are still some patches of autumn splendor.

Not too many boats on the Choptank today.

The leaves are long gone on these trees.

In its own way, the Eastern Shore is as pretty from the air as any place in the U.S.

We leave the river before hitting Denton, climb, and head direct for home.

Passing by the Chester River as it heads northeast.

Gadget flies by Langford Creek.

Back at Essex Skypark, the RV-4 is back in the air!
